Inspired Nudges For Living Wisely
In A Woke World
Woke gained currency in the 2010s as Critical Race Theory,
sexism and LGBT rights became dominant mainstream,
accelerating the breakdown of western civilisation. Although
the contest of equality for all had already been won, vested
interests indulged victimhood: oppressor/oppressed; white
supremacy/black disadvantage; evils of colonialism/pure
aboriginal culture, transgender/women.
Common sense values were challenged as those accused of
alleged offences, even without representation or trial, often
lost reputation, jobs, homes and businesses by outrageous
publicity through social and other media, without redress.
So coercive has been public scorn that government, businesses
and community organisations hastened to jump onto the
bandwagon to prove how woke they could be in order to avoid
public opprobrium and litigation. Merit has been discarded
for Diversity, Equity and Inclusion (DEI).
This book invites readers to reclaim common sense confidently,
to be effective in life, regardless of woke pressures on issues
of the day
